Jean Psaki excuse that "the increase and the anticipated continued increase, which is what I think some of your colleagues were asking about, that that is a direct result of the invasion of Ukraine.”
And she is right. Too bad she can't seem to comprehend THIS factor also contributes to price increases, but that would point out a Biden failure.
Biden suspended new fossil-fuel leases and drilling permits on federal lands and waters for 60 days. At a “Climate Day” event the following week, he went much further, declaring an indefinite pause on new federal oil and gas leasing altogether so that his administration could “review and reset” the leasing program.

Now Biden wants to stop Russian oil imports which will increase prices.
Biden wants to buy Venezuela oil...which will increase prices,
Biden wants to buy Iranian oil...which will increase prices,
all putting the USA in a greater energy dependence!
All the while banning oil exploration on USA which had contributed to USA energy independence under Trump!

Red Jen can bluster all she wants.....

Your fault, my fault, nobody's fault. The administration in charge gets the blame.....Add to that 7.5% inflation, what's looking like a full blown recession coming, and maybe even a possible nuke exchange by and by, so I'd say the dems are toast.

If the dems had any honor they would all resign.....Blah, then geriatric neocons would take over.

We are fucked.

NO ONE is buying the regime's lie that gas prices are due to Ukraine. We all saw them start to rise immediately after Biden canceled Keystone, and forcefully attacked domestic energy production starting on Day 1 of his presidency.

FACTS not guesses...

OPEC oil is historically a dollar cheaper than US oil. The US is still importing 7-9 million bpd. We're currently producing 11.6 million bpd.

The American people are pissed about the sky high gas prices. Now Dems are trying to deflect the blame in every direction as they fear voter retaliation this Nov.

Where are your personal, subjective facts from because here are the FACTS from the federal government:

The United States became a net annual petroleum exporter in 2020

In 2020, the United States exported about 8.51 MMb/d and imported about 7.86 MMb/d of petroleum, making the United States a net annual petroleum exporter for the first time since at least 1949. Also in 2020, the United States produced about 18.40 million barrels per day (MMb/d) of petroleum, and consumed about 18.12 MMb/d.
So if the USA produced 18.40 million barrels/day and consumed 18.12 barrels/day left 280,000 barrels per day.
FACTS...NOT guesses Surada! Get your facts before you put up your personal, inaccurate opinion!

not clear your point here. He never said he wanted xiden to do anything but open up drilling here.

We exported less than 5 million barrels. Currently the US produces 11.6 million bpd. I don't know about the semantics, but the US has never been energy independent.

You'd have to be a mindreader. LOL

But buying oil from more markets will never make 'OIL" MORE EXPENSIVE.

And there is NO FACTUAL basis that Biden's moves have hurt drilling. There are leases not being drilled on.

What is new is that a LA federal judge recently ruled that Biden cannot reimpose Obama rules on carbon costs in issuing new leases. Unfortunatly, the ruling invalidated the leases the Biden admin previously issued. I won't go into the "why" about the judge's ruling.

But now, we're in a legal standoff.

The US has never produced 18 million bpd. Even the claim is insane. Where would they store it during the COVID lockdown?
