He had a full immigraiton hearing, and admitted to being illegal, he request asylum and lost that...he was ordered deported, with that said, the Court did find that he had a legit fear of a rival gang back home in El Salvador, and said he was to be deported anywhere but there.

It is true that years later, the deportation order wasn't followed correctly, and the SCOTUS ordered that the Admin facilate his return and the order be followed. They did that....it's just now, sadly for him, is he has more very serious criminal charges to deal with before he's deported again
