I'm just posting this because it fits...............First the socialist then Dictator in Venezuela stops payments........then seizes oil rigs that aren't even his..........oil production went belly up because of their stupidity........and they are still screwed.


While this isn't the same as California.....it is an example of what these Statist do.................THEIR PLAN was a TAKE OVER OF THE UTILITIES.........everything else is NOISE.

And it will not make a difference on whether power lines cause fires or not in the future.

They have been given free reign here in CA and they have zero to little competition. They have hiked their prices every fucking year. Pretty sure they are probably pure profit by now.

They’d have to to be able to pay every time the state sues them over their own stinking regulations, keeping them from being able to operate as safely as they can.

Theres nothing keeping them from operating safely except maybe their laziness which is why they were sued and lost.

It was the state and the sierra clubs that should have been sued...not PG&E...

Obviously you didnt go to law school. I mean I didnt either but I do know you have to be liable in order to lose a lawsuit.

Bill Text - SB-901 Wildfires.

(6) The Z’berg-Nejedly Forest Practice Act of 1973 prohibits a person from conducting timber operations, defined to mean the cutting or removal, or both, of timber or other solid wood forest products from timberlands for commercial purposes, unless a timber harvesting plan prepared by a registered professional forester has been submitted for the operations to CalFire. The act provides an exception from its provisions for timber operations that involve the removal of trees less than 16 inches in diameter at breast height from a firebreak or fuelbreak if the removal meets specified requirements, including the requirement that the removed trees will not be processed into logs or lumber.

This bill would provide an exception to the requirement that the removed trees not be processed into logs or lumber for a fuelbreak conducted by a public agency or a nonprofit organization, as provided.

The act authorizes the state forestry board to exempt from some or all of those provisions of the act a person engaging in specified forest management activities, including the cutting or removal of trees in compliance with existing law relating to defensible space. Existing law requires surface fuels that promote the spread of wildfire to be removed from all areas of the timber operations within 45 days from the start of timber operations and provides that any not so removed after that time may be determined to be a nuisance, as provided.
This bill would instead provide that all fuel treatments related to the cutting or removal of trees in compliance with existing law relating to defensible space that do not comply with state forestry board rules and regulations may be determined to be a nuisance, as provided.

The new law, SB901, is wide-ranging. Starting in 2019, it will require utility companies’ fire mitigation plans to include vegetation clearing around power lines, electrical equipment inspections and protocols for cutting power in weather that could trigger fires. It also requires the state commission that regulates utilities to work with the state’s firefighting agency to prevent fires and doubles maximum penalties when utilities don’t comply with safety regulations.

SB901 notably calls for utilities to consider several safety measures as part of their plans to avoid fires, including moving power lines underground, as well as putting insulation around wires and replacing poles.

I showed the dang article where the State passed Regs to SHUT DOWN POWER in High Wind Situations.........................

I showed the articles where the state only mandated 4 foot of clearance of Right of Way.

I showed the articles and the NEW LAW that finally allowed PG & E to cut away more of the trees to 12 foot on each side for a RIGHT OF WAY of 24 foot...............PG & E had requested 30 foot.

And in that same article it SHOWED THE LAW that wouldn't allow them to cut more WITHOUT PERMISSION.


The leftist Politicians CAUSED THIS MESS...........WITH THEIR REGULATIONS AND LAWS..........

Then blame the utilities when 70 mph plus winds smack the power lines and cause sparks.....then go look what they did..........All to eventually TAKE THE POWER GRID........Which is precisely where this is going.....Now a Bankrupt company........Bankrupted on purpose by the State........is now clearing trees to 24 foot of Right of way for over a 100,000 miles of power lines...........

They should just pull the damned plug........shut off the power and WALK THE FUCK AWAY.........And tell your politicians to go run the damned power right now.........WE ARE DONE.....Because that is what is going to happen eventually anyway..................DO IT IN THE DARK.......

Doesn't change a thing...........Doesn't mean a thing..........it is the Politicians and the policies of California that have done this............I work as an electrician..........been doing it my whole life............while I'm not with the utilities I have installed my share of lines with the insulators on power lines.............they can't sustain hits at high winds from Trees..........and if you don't clear the trees for a good distance THEY WILL DAMAGE THE LINES and break the insulators...........They are ceramic..........

This game was RIGGED by the Politicians from day one......
