Proof that vehicle "emissions testing" is a scam.

I'm shocked as I thought it was a statewide thing.......WAIT.....no it wasn't, only certain counties and of course I live in one

They had been doing the required testing to get yearly tabs since early 80's, and before that vehicles coming in from out of state had to be inspected to get WA plates, but that inspection may have been different. Other inspections included rebuilt totals and car kits or other homemade vehicles

Wow, the legislature up here has been drinking the CA kool aid longer than I was aware. It's really too bad because this state has so much potential only to be trashed by the idiot marxists.

I completed one of my most loathed tasks yesterday, that being driving to an emissions testing station to "test" my car for emissions compliance. So guess what they tested? I'll read directly off the 'compliance' document:

KEY ON/ENGINE OFF BULB CHECK: PASS
KEY ON/ENGINE RUNNING BULB CHECK: PASS
OBD CONNECTOR INTEGRITY: PASS
MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT: PASS
GAS CAP INSPECTION: PASS

Yeah, with the new, computer-controlled fuel systems, it's a giant waste of time and money.

I think the emissions testing started in King County only, then eventually expanded to other counties. but had been going on for 38(?) years before they dropped it.

From 78 to 82, I worked at a vehicle license office issuing tabs, title transfers, etc and even then the Califonkias were moving in by the droves.

I noted how I know I can get an inspection sticker here without actually passing.
