It will probably reach $100 trillion now in a month or so the way they are spending.

The deficit is a symptom of what's wrong with our society. Politics has become zero-sum, such that if one party can't get their way, they have to make sure the others lose, consequences be damned. I blame Republicans for starting this culture war, though the progressives are not entirely blameless either.

The Republican Party has crashed the economy 4 times in the past 100 years, and yet they call themselves the party of "fiscal responsibility". The Democrats have cleaned up Republicans' fiscal messes and put the economy back on track, only to have the next Republican President cut taxes, run up the deficit, and crash the economy again.

Each crash benefits the wealthiest Americans and impoverishes more of the lower income Americans. Trump's crash pushed 8 million Americans into poverty, while billionaires had record income and wealth.

The American people continue to believe Republicans are better for the economy, because you're just that gullible.

Not to worry, Biden is giving our strategic reserves away to lower prices, after which we will be paying record prices to refill the reserves but you don't have to worry about that either because we can just print the money to pay for it all.
