Anyone had any problems with chicken jerky from China? I have been feeding my dogs Waggin' Trails chicken tenders for years with no problem. But people keep reporting problems to the FDA. The FDA checks and checks and can't find anything wrong with the jerky.
My dogs LOVE the jerky. They get it as a treat once a day M-F.
I read one woman's comment that she wrapped it in a damp paper towel and put it in the microwave to soften it (?) and when she opened the microwave a big cloud of ammonia came out and it was horrible. So I tried it today at lunchtime. Steam came out, but no ammonia smell. It smelled like chicken cooking.
So what's up with this, anyway!? I hate to stop using this treat because of a bunch of hysteria. But my dogs mean the world to me, and if there is a valid risk, I'll stop giving them the chicken jerky.
