If the G7 is serious about free trade then Donald Trump proposing zero tariffs etc. should be taken seriously. Otherwise the so-called G6 countries are nothing more than a group of hypocrites. Also, it sounds like the G6 would be happier without the US in the G7. If so, why doesn't D Trump orchestrate a new G3 being USA, China, Russia. He would probably achieve more with China and Russia than with the sulking G6 countries.
