President Trump orders Army Corps of Engineers to open California dams and release the water

I just checked the Biden flows vs the Trump flows and Trump really increased the volume. And not by a tiny bit, but a hell of a lot. It was 5 cu ft a second until Trump turned it up. It is now 916 cu ft per second.
Great. climate man bob lindsen is in.

So, bob where is the water going?

This is a thread about releasing water from reservoirs. Not about trains.

Why is releasing the water now a good thing?
Because it is being released to the farmers and not the ocean, numbnuts.

San Joaquin valley farmers?
Yeah

The two dams are considered important reservoirs of water for farmers in the San Joaquin Valley, which is known for its "Citrus Belt" that produced more than four million tons of citrus fruits — particularly Mandarin, Navel and Valencia oranges, along with grapefruits and lemons — in the 2020-2021 season alone. Tulare County water manager Dan Vink said the release of water from the dams could make irrigation difficult.

"A decision to take summer water from local farmers and dump it out of these reservoirs shows a complete lack of understanding of how the system works and sets a very dangerous precedent," Vink said. "This decision was clearly made by someone with no understanding of the system or the impacts that come from knee-jerk political actions."

Yeah

No link. Well how about that. Nothing about both dams.

So it seems that San Joaquin farmers should prosper on the backs of farmers downstream and the safety of L.A. citizens? Be careful what you wish for.

California has many dams. A lot are owned by CA. Some owned by the Feds. But wait, many are also owned by PGE and other utilities. Trump is not harming farmers at all.

The water isn't going anywhere near southern California stupid fuckup.

You piss and moan about the government that was made giving your white ass preference every day. So go move back to Europe where you came from.
So I guess with that statement, you're my bitch? I hope you don't have a white tint. That way you can't be my black bitch! Lol, you're such a dumbass racist.

The fields are not in production now stupid fuckup.

And it will never be anywhere near SoCal.

Newsom dumps a huge amount into the ocean.

Olde man, stick to the Shitler! release of water now which he thinks flows to SoCal.

Fucking shit bob. You're an olde stupid man.

Federal water? Who told you that?
Shasta Dam (in Far Northern CA) is part of the Federal Shasta-Trinity federal water project. After it was finished, John F. Kennedy came and 'blessed' it.

An old neighbor of mine was an engineer there and he told me that the Feds and the State are responsible for water releases in order to maintain the flow of water South and ensure Shasta Lake (created by the dam) was not drawn down too far. I live hear and have seen the Sacramento River fluctuate quite a bit. Many homes on the river get their back yards flooded every season with large water releases. Shasta Lake has been down so far that one can see an old bridge that was submerged when the dam was created.

Reservoirs down stream used to keep a steady flow but, environmentalists in CA have destroyed many of them for environmental reasons. Add to that another environmental regulation where water is shunted back to the ocean in order to save a fish. This has caused farmers in the Central Valley to lose their allotment of water. Newer regulations also have prohibited some farmers from growing on all their land. Democrat policies and Newsom have been a disaster to agriculture in CA.
