And he made a bad deal

If I had been running the campaign the first debate would not have happened yet and the second debate would use Fox News

The republican campaign agreed with the democratic campaign on the presidential candidate debates, time, day, place and terms.

I think the way they set presidential debates up, is usually between the party and campaign of the candidates qualified, and under defined measures of qualifications needed to do so...

For example, if there are several Independent candidates running ....like one under the Green Party or Libertarian Party etc, them having to meet the created qualification by a certain date, before being included in the scheduled Presidential debate....and then their party, agreeing to all of the debate terms...?

Once someone has been a president they are always referred.to as President, be it Carter,.Clinton, Bush or Washington.

Trump is a convicted felon. He doesn't drserve the honor of beng referred to as "President" I don't care what tradition says.

Do you really want to apply a moral judgement of former presidents and if they have earned the moniker "president"?

You may want to think long and hard about former presidents decisions and if they deserve this "honor". Trump being a victim of selection legal attention is childs play compared to other presidents decisions.

No, the republican campaign and the democratic campaign did NOT agree on the debates, time, day, place and terms. That would be the case, except President Biden and former President Trump didn't go thru The Commission for Presidential Debates to set up the two debates. LINK They decided to just do the deal between the two campaigns. So, when President Biden dropped out, his campaign ended and the deal of the two debates ended. Unless, you're going to have Biden appear on ABC on Sept. 10th.

Because they went that way, there's no deal between the democratic and republican parties for debates. So, Trump has every right to either allow VP Harris the same deal that Biden had or can change the terms of the debate. How people want to spin it doesn't change that fact. I don't know who's naive or ignorant enough to believe that just because Harris is now the democrat nominee that she's automatically entitled to the same deal as her boss had.

Can you imagine that when she's pandering for votes in the most obvious and humiliating way, that it's either that he's just playing along or is it that he's truly that stupid to think that she really isn't playing the race card against whites because she has her fingers crossed behind her back ?

It's apparent you didn't read the last paragraph of my previous post. Trump doesn't have to allow Harris the same terms as he did Biden. Is that a hard concept for you to grasp? Also, unless something has changed, Trump is still the frontrunner. So, Harris needs the debate to happen more than Trump does. Trump knows this, and he's exercising his leverage.
