This will have a major impact on the food supply chain.

Yes, it will help the democrat party/leftist agenda of reducing food access. The democrat party core believes that the world is overpopulated, and that humans are destroying the planet.....they are at their most basic level misanthropes.......they hate people...and love themselves. So anything that will make food harder to get, more expensive, less available...is a price they are willing to pay to reduce human populations.....

Sadly, too many normal Americans and others around the world don't understand this core motivation of these leftists.......if you tried to tell them, they would think you are crazy.......and they are wrong....these leftists want to reduce the human population, and will use whatever means are necessary to do it...

This won't just effect the food supply chain, this will effect EVERYTHING.

The current EPA regs for big trucks cause these trucks to have all kinds of mechanical breakdowns. Most of the breakdowns you see for big trucks have to do with the DPF systems. These new trucks are already cleaner running than some gas burning vehicles. What more do they want?

I drove the same truck for 2 and a half years. In that time the only problems it had was the DEF sensor went out, TWICE. When that happens, it thinks its out of DEF and derates to 5mph. No matter where you are or what you are doing. How about a big rig doing 5mph on the interstate? Does that shit sound safe to you?

They'll have clean air and empty shelves. But these fucking liberals will be the FIRST to complain when their favorite brand of toothpaste isn't on the fucking shelf.

Less food = fewer people....

That is what they want.

The left are misanthropes....they hate people....anything that would cause fewer people to exist is right in their game plan.

Well,
It's supporting the largest trucking companies and closing the doors on small trucking firms.
Diesel weighs around 7lbs to the gallon...battery weight of 8,000 lbs never decreases when it's out of power.

A truck can drive 1600 miles on a tank of diesel but an electric charge only gets you 300 miles with 8,000 fewer lbs.
Then there's the speed limiters...it cuts off the fuel and hits the brakes when you are going faster than the GPS posted speed. But these systems get confused at times...especially when on farms.

Also a regular tractor costs roughly $160k new. An electric truck starts at $480k. No small business can afford that. Especially with a ten hour charge time between 300 mile runs...if you can find a charging station in the middle of nowhere during yet another rolling blackout.

All according to the plan for these democrat misanthropes....

When the trucking industry and logistics in general collapses from this situation....

And right in the middle of a huge looming hard hitting recession....
Congress needs to be given its walking papers on this one. They voted it in....they allowed this nonsense.

dems believe if food is more expensive families we be forced to have less children to feed .

Actually, they believe that if people are desperate for food, which they can no longer afford, they will go along with Dems’ policies if it means they can feed their children.

That is why they like people to be on welfare, and block attempts for work requirements,
