The essence of the Dobbs decision is that the States can define for themselves how they want to handle the abortion issue, which is, at its core, how the State wants to address the humanity of a human fetus.

Leftists consider a fetus to be a part of the woman's body - like a bunion or a cyst. I happen to disagree, but I don't get a vote. Some States share that view, and some States consider that a fetus is a person, legally speaking. Biologically and legally, this argument is just as valid as the bunion position. Indeed, if there is a real answer to the question of the humanity of the fetus, it is the SAFER route to discourage abortions in every way possible, including criminal sanctions.

Lefties whine that women are being persecuted; sane people worry about the carnage of killed babies-in-the-womb.
