why was it important to focus on the skin color?

Beck wants to "take back" the civil rights movement...what does that mean, and what does it mean that most of his followers are white?

Without 'whites', there would be no 'civil rights movement'..... You get what the whole movement was about, don't you? It wasn't about race, it was about rights. So, if the crowd was 87% white, then 13% were minorities. If Beck is this evil race baiter, 'spewing hate' yadda, yadda, yadda, why did so many non Whites turn up? Did they get lost on the way to the race baiters rally next door?

Seen any pics of his 'reclaiming the dream' rally? 200/300 blacks. No accusations of racism for that?

Please describe what happened at the other rally that could be described as race baiting. I have seen clips of it and it seemed a peaceful march mimicking MLK's original march and speech.

but the answer is... a day before the civil rights movement.

these same people would have been standing in georgia blocking the universities to protect 'traditional values'.

As a ballpark median, the attendees at the rally was 100,000.

87% of those attending (according to media sources) were 'white'. 13% were non white. How many non white people were at the rally? 13,000

75.6% of Americans are white (according to the National Census Bureau). So, in point of fact - according to the numbers - Becks rally was not that far off the national average.
