Prediction, Hegseth doesn't make it to the confirmation process.....if there is one.

Or … Trump stays with him and realizes that Hegseth might be denied confirmation, anyway. In that event, perhaps Trump has selected his next possible candidate for the job.

Trump considers replacing Pete Hegseth, his embattled secretary of defense pick, with Ron DeSantis
President-elect Donald Trump is considering replacing embattled defense secretary choice Pete Hegseth with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, according to two sources familiar with the decision-making.
DeSantis is “very much in contention,” one source said.
Another told NBC News that Trump and DeSantis directly spoke about the issue.
“Trump talked to the governor and wants him to do it,” a source familiar with the conversation told NBC News Tuesday night.

We now have evolved into questioning the person who questions due to politics. We get everything on the writer on the NY. times. herself and her family. All the dirt. We gotta know. This must be the new policy going forward. I tell you the smell from many of these pseudo reporters will be off the charts.
I just wish Trump and team would just follow normal protocol of background checks to avoid these kind of picks from happening....
I feel sorry for Trump's bad picks.... Trump has to know they would never pass muster, yet he pushes it to see how much power can he hold or something mentally demented like that, imo....
But these nominees are destined to be raked over the coals by everyone and their brothers, and by the press...putting all kinds of spotlights on to his nominees, and bringing out in to the public eye, of the whole damn world, all of their struggles and problems in their lives, all under a microscope....
I feel sorry for Hegseth especially....he is as his mother initially described, and he does have a drinking problem.... But damn, damn, damn....I did not need to know about that....except for trump picking him for sec of defense....now his whole life of shitty decisions are before us, on display, when really this could all be a result of PTSD from his combat zone tour(s)...and none of this on Pete's life would be known, other than in a close knit circle of associates and family...
If only Trump's team did the official back ground checks, this all could have been avoided before we even knew he was considering him as a pick.... Plus FBI background checks are telling you what your opponents will pull out and say, if he or she is nominated allowing a heads up, and time to prepare for an onslaught....if trump still wanted to pursue the pick with the baggage.... And the nominee was made aware of what was going to come out and still would accept it...

Boy, trump knows how to pick them, huh. I guess he is looking for people that most reflect his own morals of sexual assault, fraud, and stark immorality. Hegseth is a morrow image of trump. I mean, choosing Hegseth would be a slap in the face to veterans who have given so much to their country. I suppose trump's handers give him a list of possible nominees and he starts from the bottom?
