I used to live in Portland.

After I lost my wife I moved there from San Diego; had to go someplace where I could breathe a little. It was nice but, yeah, I could certainly sense a liberal bent to the city. But even downtown, protests were pretty much non-existent. I can recall only one, made after a local cop made a bad bust (no one was killed or anything). The protest lasted about three hours.

What I see going on there now saddens me. I used to live in southeast Portland, in a beautiful home that was only 20 minutes from downtown Portland. There was a lot to love about Portland, but I wouldn't move back there now if you paid me...
