If any man can guide this world towards Justice, it is Pope Francis...

Pope gives Palestinians boost of support

JERUSALEM (AP) — Pope Francis delivered a powerful boost of support to the Palestinians during a Holy Land pilgrimage Sunday, repeatedly backing their statehood aspirations, praying solemnly at Israel's controversial separation barrier and calling the stalemate in peace efforts "unacceptable."

In an unscripted move, Francis arranged a meeting between the Israeli and Palestinian presidents at the Vatican next month. The meeting, while largely symbolic, shows how the pope has sought to transform his immensely popular appeal into a moral force for peace.

Who cares what he says? The Pope had no choice but to address the issue and say what he did. Even he knows Israel isn't going to give their Holy Sites or allow " Right of http://www.commentarymagazine.com/2013/05/01/is-the-arab-peace-plan-really-about-peace/Return" Too bad he didn't ask what they are doing to contribute to the " peace process"

I know this column will offend some Catholics.

But Pope Francis, once again, has proven he is not politically infallible. HeÂ’s on the wrong side of history and truth, at least when it comes to the well-being of Israel.

Standing in Bethlehem with Mahmoud Abbas, the man who signed the check for the Munich Olympics terrorist murders, he said: “Our recent meeting in the Vatican and my presence today in Palestine attest to the good relations existing between the Holy See and the state of Palestine.”

“State of Palestine?” There is no state of Palestine. And, if the Middle East is to know peace before Jesus comes back, there won’t be one.

The Palestinian Authority, as it is known, is a thoroughly corrupt, morally repugnant terrorist organization with no political legitimacy. Why the pope is trying to lend it credibility suggests one of two things: He is clueless about Middle East politics or has an anti-Israel, anti-Jewish agenda.

The politically tone-deaf pope

So, he should not support Christians under occupation by Israel? What kind of Pope would he be if he condoned the oppression of Palestinian Christians by Jews? Get it through your brain washed head, The Pope's first responsibility is to Christians.

He should be more concerned about the oppression of Christians in the " Palestenian " Area. The majority of Palestinians are NOT Christian. Get it through your Brain Washed Head; Israel is not going to concede to ALL Palestinian Demands

Then he should go visit Muslim countries where Christians are as oppressed as can be.

Actually, the pope wasn't critical of Israel. He suggested that the parties should make a deal. No doubt he'll soon figure out that Israel can't make a deal with people who want to destroy it.

Israel already tried to make peace with the lowly Phistines. But they kelt refusing.

I think you mean Philistines, but why are they lowly? Do you have some kind of Nazi racial superiority syndrome?

Palestinians are also Christians and are equally oppressed as the Muslim Palestinians by the Jews.

"
I am a Palestinian Christian, now a U.S. citizen, and my own experience and that of my family attest to the falsity of Ambassador Oren's assertion. I was born in East Jerusalem, Jordan in 1952, only a few years after my family and the majority of Palestinians fled from their homes when the newly established Jewish state took over three-quarters of historical Palestine. My family, like almost all the other Palestinians who fled -- Christians and Muslims alike -- became refugees, losing their fields, orchards, homes and practically everything else, to Israel. Israel defied the international consensus and a U.N. resolution calling on it to allow the Palestinian refugees to return. "

I think the Pope has a very good handle on what is happening to the Christians in the Middle East, and he is smart enough to give some lip talk to the Palestinian Muslims so that the rest of the Muslims in the Middle East don't act even worse toward the Christians. No doubt there is someone in the Vatican getting reports from the Catholics in the Middle East as to how many have been murdered by Muslims.

So he should be lifting the banner of the next crusade high and declaring a war on extremist islam and Islamic world conquest. Then telling islam to clean up its own house before the Christians turn and start fighting back against the forced conversions and rapes. Any self respecting Christian would be dead set against islam and its state inspired and led attacks on Christianity

NOPE it is a fact that the philistines are lowly because their leaders keep them like that, just look at the Sodastream factory that employed them on better wages and conditions than any Palestinian company would. Once they are degraded by their own they stay degraded until they demand better treatment.

Yet another BLOG that has no basis in fact, the UN has commented on the demise of Christians in Palestine which have declined by over 90% of the population of 2005. So in 9 years over 90% of Palestinian Christians have either been murdered, forced to convert or expelled by the Palestinian muslims. But you don't want to see that and prefer to tell your LIES like the good little ISLAMONAZI PROPAGANDIST you are

On his way from the Presidential Palace in Bethlehem to Manger Square, Pope Francis asked the driver of his Popemobile to stop, then went down and stood beneath an Israeli watchtower. In a move no pope has ever done, Pope Francis reached out and touched the metres-high concrete barrier.

Pope Francis lay his forehead on a section filled with graffiti saying "Free Palestine" and "Bethelehem look like Warsaw Ghetto."

And your point being ?

For all you know he could have been feeling ill after drinking Crème de Menthe, and wanted to puke all over the Palestinians who have been killing his people.

The Palestinians are his people, at least 10% of them as they are about 10% of the worldwide Palestinian population and 8% in the West Bank.
