How so?
Some of Russia's allies and friends are: Syria, Iran, and China. Russia is a threat to the peace and security of both Western and Eastern Europe, the Ukraine/Crimea situation being a perfect example, which, therefore, makes them a threat to the US because of our links to those areas. Russia is a threat to the peace and security of the Middle East because of their support of Iran and Syria. Syria is seriously destablizing the ME at the moment, and Iran is a continuous threat to the peace and stability of the ME. The US has direct, hands on friendships and connections to stable Middle Eastern states. Putin is a brutal, ruthless dictator who absolutely cannot be trusted.
BULLSHIT.
Is Russia a threat to the US of A?
I do not give a shit about Eastern Europe, Ukraine/Crimea.
Don't care, and irrelevant, that Syria, Iran, and China are allied with Russia .
.
You don't understand international relations; our security depends on the security of our friends and allies. One example: the US has a large naval base in Bahrain, right in the middle of the Arabian Gulf. Bahrain, the UAE, Qatar, & Saudi are all friends and allies. Iran, and now Syria, threaten the stability of the Middle East. Russia being a friend, ally and supporter of Iran, a state which threatens to destabilize the entire region, threatens the US because it threatens our friends and allies, & as well, it puts the naval base in Bahrain at risk. It is not at all irrelevant that Syria, Iran and China are allied with Russia. It doesn't matter whether or not YOU give a shit about Eastern Europe, the Ukraine and the Crimea. Overall world security and stability have an effect on the US. You are a very silly person if you think the stability or instability of other parts of the world have no effect on the US.
