It's working out well if we only care about what other people think. One could make the argument that some countries are looking at us more favorably because they love seeing the U.S. fall into a recession and struggle to get out.

No, just putting my two cents in. I agree that it's stupid to poll Americans about how America is perceived by the rest of the world. I also think it's stupid for Americans or America to worry too much about what the rest of the world thinks of us.

I had a problem wiith the Moonie newspaper too. So, I looked it up on the web. The Democracy Group says it's independent (but is probably democratic considering it was started by Carville). Here is the link to their page, so you can see for yourself.

All the Liberal nutters here complaining,were the same nutters who obsessed over these kinds of polls when the other side had power. So obviously they're pretty disingenuous and shouldn't be trusted. Or maybe our ratings are up due to the fact that our current POTUS is trying hard to move this country to the left with his socialistic agenda. Maybe the folks around the globe are happy to see the US being more like thier country.
