It is important to understand how big a role politically motivated censorship plays in defining the current political landscape. The entire point of politically motivated censorship is suppressing truth. Obviously, engaging in the suppression of truth is meant to cover up the politically inconvenient truth.

There are those who are focused on finding the actual truth, and there are those who are focused on finding information that supports what they think or want the truth to be. Only one seeks the actual truth. Politically motivated censorship is meant to stop society from seeing the truth by removing it, leaving the empty shell of something besides the truth to stand in it's place.

It's not only censorship, it is outright lying as well. The 'media'/propaganda machine lies about everything. One great example this election cycle is Project 2025, they've done their level best to turn it into a boogie man and then tie it to Trump. Every single (D)ingbat on here that brings it up has no idea what's actually in it and then perpetuates the lie that Trump will be using it to run his admin. And that's just one example.

Whenever those in power presume to dictate what is and what is not acceptable speech for political purposes, when there is a dedicated and concerted effort to suppress all information other than what those in power want us to believe, what they insist is truth, we are only a stone's throw away from totalitarianism.

Indeed, politically motivated censorship is absolutely corrupt, it is lying, and it is cheating. Even this very thread will soon be anonymously censored. It is the only way they know how to fight. The division of the political landscape into left and right is based upon this politically motivated censorship. When you put propaganda against the truth, the truth wins every time. That's why they cheat. They have to.

Trolls absolutely intercept reasoned discussion when they post everything else besides a reply that demonstrates that they did in fact read and understand what they are responding to. They may not have the administrative power to politically censor content like the bigger muscle here does, but these trolls will pile on with evasion to effectively block reasoned discussion. It's still politically motivated censorship, but through different channels.

Something strange is going on here. I'm posting about politically motivated censorship, yet this thread remains where it belongs. None of the politically motivated censors have spun the wheel of fortune to see which subforum to move this thread to, none have struck it dead from the veil of anonymity, and none have politically censored it. I know they are here and have this thread in their crosshairs, but for some reason this thread has not had the same politically motivated death as my thread earlier today did. Weird. This means that 50% of the threads I've started after my two year break have not been politically censored! What a great ratio!

Politically motivated censors prefer to do their vile deeds anonymously. The reason for this is because they know good and well that they cannot overpower the topic or post in question with superior arguments or superior logic. The fact that they do this anonymously and forbid discussion of their politically motivated censorship is because they know they are cheating. They are ashamed, so they block out discussion of their cheating. They will conflate their politically motivated censorship with enforcing rules, and even slap you on the wrist in this conflated rhetoric to cover up what they are doing. Corruption begets corruption, and lefties wouldn't be lefties if they didn't cheat.
