Dead Wake

I finished this last week. It's not strictly political, but I'd also read this

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/27/books/redeployment-iraq-war-stories-by-phil-klay.html?_r=0

and I thought I was supposed to read the Yellow Birds for my church book club, but it turned out I had the assignment wrong, Thank God (-:

But Dead Wake details how Wilson avoided asking for a declaration of war, even though he wanted one, and probably would have gotten one, until public opinion demanded war. I thought contrasted with the poor judgment of our two most recent potuses.
