The country always suffers when the Commander in Chief is elected by a Minority of Voters.....wait....let that settle in. Our President has been often elected with a vote count giving them a MINORITY OF VOTERS. The founding fathers never intended that the EC continue into an age where technology gives weight and credence to EVERY VOTE.

The EC is a racist, stop gap, system that was put in place to placate the wealthy land owners in the colonial period and to address a communication system where it took weeks and even months to count votes.

As far as the election of the President, the adage of "EVERY VOTE COUNTS" is a fallacy.
