You are asking the same questions that every other white racist ask in regards to this subject.
I’ve heard it all before.
Tell me was murder illegal? What poisoning children illegal? Was child abduction illegal? Was burning Natives alive illegal? All of these things were done to my ancestors by your ancestors.

Of course they were illegal and abhorrent. So was much of the attacks on Europeans by the Natives that started the Powhatan Wars in 1600's when Natives decided to fight back against settlers encroachments and went on until and after Custer.
