It was steadily cooling for 5,000 years before AGW began. We were on the downhill side of one of those glacial/interglacial cycles the Earth has experienced for the previous 3 million years. But it didn't have anywhere near the forcing factor of the greenhouse warming our CO2 emissions have caused and so the planet is getting warmer. THAT is what the science tells us.

Causes you to want to shit your pants, doesn't it? In my case, the past very cold winters announced that we won't keep getting warmer by those tiny amounts of temperatures.

Correct in that the climate of that part of CA has not got warmer yet the conditions for it to warm even more exists there than other areas. But the climate has if anything improved at that region of CA.

We can easily make the case that earth is deficient in carbon dioxide. That we need more and not less for our plants to survive.

That is false. RECORD TEMPS are parameters that are defined by climate. If Earth switched poles, if Antarctica was on the North Pole, Texas would regularly get to -40F...

I maintain what you think is fast rising is normal. Carbon Dioxide warming is not linear to begin with. Also on Mars, collecting CO2, they have now produced oxygen from CO2. So humans could do the same thing here on Earth. Plants in fact do that naturally. They remove Carbon Dioxide yet supply us with oxygen to breathe.

I'm currently working on raising the pH in my aquarium and this is the mostly the same chemical reaction as scrubbing CO2 ... how weird ... the Wikipedia article "Redox" is a little thick, but the important part is the addition of light energy to the CO2 before we convert it to O2 ... and then the release of this energy when we burn the carbon back into CO2 ... the difference is I'm trying to reduce calcium in order to release the carbonate ions from oyster shells ...

We have to burn more fossil fuels and produce more carbon dioxide than what we could encapsulate ... 3rd Law of Thermodynamics ... plants can afford the losses because they're further evolved ... see how they converted our entire atmosphere from 960,000 ppm to as little as 450 ppm in just 2.8 billion years !!! ... and the by-product is up to 220,000 ppm ... [cough cough choke] ... plant shit right there with your mouth open and everything ...

The solution is to use less energy ...
