From the start of the new school year, Polish pupils will learn to shoot as part of their classes. The regulation, which was signed by the Minister of Education and Science Przemyslaw Czarnek, also envisages extending the content of teaching to include the importance of cyber threats and preparation for rescue operations in emergency situations. A transitional period of two school years has been provided for shooting classes.

In the case of shooting training at primary schools, pupils will primarily learn how to handle weapons safely and their lessons will be theoretical. In secondary schools, on the other hand, pupils will learn the basics of shooting with a practical part conducted with the use of safe tools for shooting practice, such as e.g. ball guns, air guns, replicas small arms ASG, virtual or laser shooting ranges.

According to the regulation, the teaching content will be expanded to include the identification of challenges to individual and collective security, the importance of cyber threats in the civilian dimension, and preparation for rescue operations in emergency situations (mass accidents and disasters).

The ministry establishes a two-year transition period for the introduction of firearm training in schools. Shooting instruction in schools will be introduced from September 2022, but the regulation will not take full effect until the 2024/2025 school year.

There will be "blood in the streets".....Said no sane person ever.

Dear Poland:
Please translate the enabling law and training curriculum into English and send it to us.
It will be a useful and welcome replacement for the Department of Education. ;)

As always.....Citizens > Subjects.

.

And looky-here!

Poland is an extremely Christian country!

Leftists are peeing themselves.

sounds like a well regulated militia.........~S~

What is that? From Polish jokes great Americans have come to admiration of Poland. Yeah, the world will never be the same.

Funny how an existential threat to your country, such as from an aggressive Russia, tends to de-pussify your population.

Maybe we would benefit from the threat of foreign invasion.

Excellent idea! Gun free zone madness here in the USA. Gun training a much better idea.
No. Its military training. Russia is an existential threat to Poland and the Baltics. unlike Germany they are acting like it.

Now, the training will be mandatory this school year, with those schools located in districts with access to firearms, pneumatic weapons, ASGs, and laser shooting ranges having implemented it back in 2022.

“The new curriculum content for the subject includes the following topics from the area of defence education: responding to a threat of warfare (i.e., survival, including places of refuge); principles of first aid in the event of threats involving conventional weapons,” Polish authorities said.

Additionally, “for primary schools, requirements include knowledge of the local area, cybersecurity in the military dimension, preparation for shooting training; and for secondary schools, children must know how to respond to a threat of warfare, cybersecurity in the military dimension, and participate in shooting training.”

Isn't that what's happening now at our southern border?

And we did benefit from it in the form of a new and more decisive President.

We can only wait and see what other benefits it might bring as the invaders are repulsed.

I think its rather sad that they feel the need to do this,. Whole nations now live in fear of a fascist regime. The tragedy is that the west will not fight for civilised values.
