'Officials from the Clinton campaign and the D.N.C. have said they were unaware that Perkins Coie facilitated the research on their behalf, even though the law firm was using their money to pay for it. Even Mrs. Clinton only found about Mr. Steele’s research after Buzzfeed published the dossier, according to two associates who discussed the matter with her.'

Surprise, surprise....

It might not be illegal ... but it's certainly being a poor consumer.

Sorry but when the piece has "The New York Times — famous for their fake news" in it, you have to laugh.

What else are they famous for?

It's illegal to PAY a non-american citizen for dirt on your political opponent...It's OK if they give it to you for free. And it's OK to pay an american citizen for it.

The clinton campaign and the DNC paid the russians and christopher steele thru the law firm perkins couy...so add money laundering to the charges as well!

What else are they famous for?

125 Pulitzer prizes....
Those pretty much come out of gumball machines these days.

No they don't. And their history of receiving them is over decades. Not recently.
Just because the right - in the form of the NY Post, Breibart, Fox and other partisan hack outlets - have turned the media into a joke, doesn't mean that some of the most respected and reliable publications have gone down that path.

It’s a fucking joke of an award. Given out as nothing more than self congratulation to a bunch of self important assholes.
