Now I’m no military strategist but this does not seem like a real good idea.

Maybe they are looking to the US for resupply while maintaining their paltry 1.17% contribution to NATO.

I think it is something that the U.S. never thought of.

It's possible for a NATO "ally" to spend it's required paltry 2.0% and then give away or sell it's arms to a non-NATO country and still be in technical compliance.

Obviously Denmark, like so many of our NATO "partners" isn't thinking that way, though. Easier just to ignore that 2% obligation and enjoy the free ride courtesy of Americans' grandkids.
