1. One political parts seems to always be on the side of the criminal, no cash bail, or bring back gang members, or charging heroes like Penny who intercepted a subway threat.

2.

3. "Southern California mayor says he wants to ‘purge’ homeless population by giving them ‘all the fentanyl they want’

A Southern California mayor is under fire for wanting to eliminate his city’s homeless population by giving them “all the fentanyl they want” — a shocking remark he reinforced by calling for a federal “purge.”

Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris shared his controversial views during a Feb. 25 city council meeting when a resident took issue with the city’s attempt to address the homeless crisis by “enclosing” the unhoused at an abandoned golf course near a residential neighborhood."

4. Did you know that the Democrat's are responsible for closing the mental hospitals?

They're not on our side.

That guy has no arms!!! :iagree:

Benjamin Franklin went further arguing "it is better a hundred guilty persons should escape than one innocent person should suffer." Other notable historical figures have worried more about punishing the guilty.
Google

But who is responsible for the murders of innocent Americans by those 100 guilty persons you let free????????

Pick a side and consider the consequences.

Did you know that's a lie?

The Mental Health Systems Act of 1980 (MHSA) was legislation signed by American President Jimmy Carter which provided grants to community mental health centers.
The MHSA was considered landmark legislation in mental health care policy.

In 1981 President Ronald Reagan, who had made major efforts during his governorship to reduce funding and enlistment for California mental institutions, pushed a political effort through the Democratically controlled House of Representatives and a Republican controlled Senate to repeal most of MHSA

In California they closed the mental hospitals on the grounds they were kept as prisoners and not patients. Then they blamed Reagan for shutting them down when he was governor after Brown signed the law to remove patients who was a Democrat Governor of CA.

"3 responsibilities every government has towards its citizens

The oldest and simplest justification for government is as protector: protecting citizens from violence.
Thomas Hobbes’ Leviathan describes a world of unrelenting insecurity without a government to provide the safety of law and order, protecting citizens from each other and from foreign foes. The horrors of little or no government to provide that function are on global display in the world’s many fragile states and essentially ungoverned regions. And indeed, when the chaos of war and disorder mounts too high, citizens will choose even despotic and fanatic governments, such as the Taliban and ISIS, over the depredations of warring bands."

I'm never wrong.

Democrat John Kennedy was the cause.

(Democrat) "President Kennedy envisioned a system in which, in his words, “the reliance on the cold mercy of custodial isolation will be supplanted by the open warmth of community concern.”

State mental hospitals were closed. But the promise of community mental health was never fully realized.

The states were burdened with the responsibility but provided little in the way of support.

Laws were changed that made it harder to compel mental health treatment. Governor Ronald Reagan signed the Lanterman-Petris-Short Act in 1967, designed to end the inappropriate lifetime commitment of people with mental illness."
State of Homelessness: Governor focuses entire State of the State on housing crisis

It was Democrat JFK

1." On Feb. 5, 1963, ... President John F. Kennedy addressed Congress on "Mental Illness and Mental Retardation." He proposed a new program under which the federal government would fund community mental-health centers, or CMHCs, to take the place of state mental hospitals. As Kennedy envisioned it, "reliance on the cold mercy of custodial isolations will be supplanted by the open warmth of community concern and capability."

2. Kennedy's proposal was historic because the public care of mentally ill individuals had been exclusively a state responsibility for more than a century. The federal initiative encouraged the closing of state hospitals and aborted the development of state-funded outpatient clinics in process at that time.

3. .... the feds funded 789 CMHCs with a total of $2.7 billion ($20.3 billion in today's dollars). During those same years, the number of patients in state mental hospitals fell by three quarters—to 132,164 from 504,604—and those beds were closed down.

a. .... CMHCs were not interested in taking care of the patients being discharged from the state hospitals. Instead, they focused on individuals with less severe problems sometimes called "the worried well."

Let me provide one simple bromide for you to memorize that will aid to your understanding:

.....a simple rule that will clarify the current milieu:

Any article, event, opinion, data or study that redounds in favor of the Left/Demorat Party, is to be considered a lie or hoax.

Begin with that rule and you will never go wrong.

Papa Joe Kennedy had his daughter lobotomized keeping the family reputation pure....
JFK remembered what Joe had done, and tried to remedy the wrong.

Not Reagan......Kennedy.

Evidence shows that Rosemary was neither retarded nor mentally ill.

"Sister of John F. Kennedy, Rosemary was said to have been considered retarded by members of her family but that assessment has been widely disputed by subsequent analysts. Some concluded that Rosemary may not have been as brilliant as other members of her family but she was a fully functioning person, kept a diary and had an active social life. Rosemary was reportedly subject to violent mood swings and a stormy personality however some observers have since attributed this behavior to her difficulties in keeping up with her active siblings. In 1941, when Rosemary was 23, her father Joseph Kennedy was told by her doctors that a new procedure would help calm her mood swings that the family found difficult to handle at home. Her father gave permission for the prefrontal lobotomy to be performed by Walter Freeman and James Watts.

After the surgery Rosemary was reduced to an infantile mentality that left her incontinent and staring blankly at walls for hours. Her verbal skills were reduced to unintelligible babble. In 1949, Rosemary moved to an institution and was visited on regular occasions by her sister Eunice Kennedy Shriver who became the founder of the Special Olympics."

Her brother John never stopped thinking about Rosemary….and that’s why he emptied the asylums…

Kennedy….not Reagan.

Democrats, not the Republicans.

Kennedy proposed community mental health centers instead of state institutions
Jimmy Carter signed the law enacting the same.

Ronald Reagan undid the law.

Simple facts.
Yes democrats closed state institutions.
But they opened community institutions in their place.

Republicans closed the community institutions

Democrats turned against the citizens of the USA long ago. This is not new at all. This merely extends them favoring illegal aliens vs American Citizens. They support illegals shamelessly in fact.

Simple facts.
Yes democrats closed state institutions.
But they opened community institutions in their place.

Republicans closed the community institutions
Democrats explained why they closed mental institutions as merely jails for the mentally ill. If Republicans enforced the Democrats laws, it was only because Republicans follow laws.

Kennedy proposed community mental health centers instead of state institutions
Jimmy Carter signed the law enacting the same.

Ronald Reagan undid the law.
So you never went to a mental institution to see what the patients lived like? Because it was Democrats claiming they were jails in effect.

In California they closed the mental hospitals on the grounds they were kept as prisoners and not patients
so where did they go Rob?

or did they figure those patients would just blend in with the rest of Californians?
