If you fly commercially, you are so much safer than you are driving to the airport. This decreases when you move down in plane size, and it's not even that you are less safe because you are flying in small plane, it's the skill level of the pilot that puts you are greater risk. The majority of accidents are pilot error, I have little doubt this one will be too.
