The problem began in 2011. After holding steady for more than a decade, the number of excess deaths began climbing that year. By 2019 the figure was 34% higher. To the surprise of the study authors, rates of young adult deaths started rising before COVID-19 came to the United States, but the pandemic fanned the flames. Excess mortality for the age group peaked in 2021, at nearly triple the 1999-2010 rate.

Young people have been less likely to identify with a religion than older generations since 2011. In terms of identity, Generation Z is the least religious generation yet. More than one-third (34 percent) of Generation Z are religiously unaffiliated, a significantly larger proportion than among millennials (29 percent) and Generation X (25 percent). Fewer than one in five (18 percent) baby boomers and only 9 percent of the silent generation are religiously unaffiliated.

I think there is a connection, guys. Premature deaths among Gen Z the past 14 years. Drop in religion at the same time among this group. If you aren't worshipping God, you're worshipping something not nearly as good, be it drugs, alcohol, porn, social media, sports gambling, or video games. America is in dire need of a Christian and moral renaissance. The reversal of Roe v Wade may have been the start of it. The Trump administration is certainly a catalyst, with the dismantling of godless PC culture; getting the LGBT nonsense OUT of government, rejection of the climate change hoax, and promotion of government-funded charter schools. The tide may well be turning.

Too much screen time. Saw an article the other day that kids are showing up to kindergarten in the UK with no potty training and some can barely walk up steps because they have been allowed to sit in front of screens from birth.

Mass shootings are now the leading cause of death for teenagers.
The more accurate term for them would be "gangbangers."
Without a positive male role model in the household, the young are more likely to end up joining local gangs. It doesn't have to be a religious father, just a good guy for the kid(s) to look up to.

This shit cracks me up.

I well remember the conspiracy whackjobs saying the vax was causing excess deaths and unexplained heart trouble.

I kept showing them these problems have been around for decades.

So they've picked up the goalposts and moved them to a lack of Jesus now?

:laughing0301:

If that was the cause of death, Trump would have stroked out in the 80s during his "personal Vietnam".

Dammit! If only!
