I don't believe booze causes hip problems.

It caused mine.
The Dr told me the reason my hip needed surgery was because of drinking.

Phil Collins is also a diabetic...and he had an infected abscess on one of his feet because of it.
He's lucky he didn't have to have his foot removed.
