Considering that Sec. State is supposed to be the nation's top diplomat, how do you think it's going to look to other countries if our top diplomat is someone who has already been known to let slip classified information? Do you think other countries would REALLY trust Petraeus?
And the difference between him and Clinton is that he was charged, tried and convicted. Hillary hasn't even been charged yet. And apparently, Trump isn't going to pursue charges anymore.
Just because Trump isn't pursuing charges doesn't mean the FBI won't. If they do, about all Trump can do is 1) pardon Hillary, or 2) ask the DOJ not to prosecute. I am not sure if either one would happen.
So............it's okay for Trump to drop charges against her, when he said that one of his first actions was to get a special attorney to look into her actions and pursue criminal charges? It was one of his campaign planks, as well as one of his comments at the national debate.
And no............after what Comey said about the whole matter, I highly doubt that the FBI or the DOJ is going to go after her unless Trump tells them to.
