Man says sheriff wrongfully arrested him after accusing him of groping his own wife

The whole disagreement allegedly started over a random bump inside a busy Quik-Trip.

"One random moment in time led a military contractor to an arrest, and that contractor filing a lawsuit against a Georgia sheriff who he said wrongfully arrested him. Rice wants justice after he said Clinch County Sheriff Stephen Tinsley handcuffed him and tossed him to the ground outside a Stockbridge QuikTrip on April 7. That’s after the sheriff’s wife, a deputy, said he groped her inside the store. Rice said he accidently bumped into Clinch County Deputy April Tinsley while inside the convenience store and said he was looking down at the time.

Henry County Police said Rice’s girlfriend, Ashley Jackson, recorded the scuffle back in April. That’s when they said April Tinsley grabbed Jackson’s phone and threw it in their truck. Rice’s attorneys point out that the police officers who looked at the video of the alleged groping said it shows Rice accidently bumped into Tinsley. The Henry County Sheriff’s office has taken over the investigation. Colonel Antonio Catlin said he saw the video and it’s not exactly clear what happened. But he said something happened."

To add more context to the story, the married Sheriff's couple were outside of their jurisdiction when they arrested both Mr. Rice and his girlfriend; witnesses at the scene said they saw no evidence of him groping her...but obviously he had to have done something to this woman to make her react that way....Sad thing that this guy risks his lucrative military contractor career to grope a woman, in front of his girlfriend -- and now he will be doing some serious time in jail....It will be interesting to see the footage of him groping her, as the police said, it's clear that something happened.....and they wouldn't have arrested this guy and charged him with aggravated sexual battery if he didn't indeed do it....he just picked the wrong woman to sexually assault. I highly doubt he just bumped into her; if you look at this guy, you can clearly see he is guilty.

Damn, good thing this was 50yrs ago. He would be swinging from a tree already, it never ceases too amaze me how a white woman can just scream rape or he touched me and the black man is automatically found guilty in spite of the fact we have seen this bullshit for decades.

The video inside the store clearly shows he didn't touch her, but bumped her, turned and apologized. Her husband must not touch her enough to cry foul or they seen the couple in love and her husband doesn't pay her much attention. Then you're not the Sheriff of that country. They were both on a power trip and you have no right to take someone's phone, that's theft. Didn't want evidence, but thankfully others were filming. They are gonna loose everything for one night of action *slaps knee*
