If you want a candidate committed to banning fracking in the United States immediately, find another candidate than Joe Biden.

That's the advice of Biden himself, given to an activist from the Sunrise Movement in a video posted online Thursday after the two discussed the former vice president's adviser Heather Zichal and Biden's plans for the future of fracking.

By the way Biden is completely right on this. I consider myself a practical environmentalist. You can't just turn off the fracking in a day. You can't just ban it across the nation. Obviously environmentalists that think so don't really understand how the economy works and how much we still depend on fossil fuels. If we are going to move away from fossil fuels and fossil fuel extraction methods it must be done incrementally. These people do not think pragmatically. We're not going to do something that will cause our economy to collapse.
