People often say they hate politics, but they keep discussing it. Why?

Why do people keep discussing something they hate? Is it really more about personality than politics? Why not discuss local politics? Is that too boring?

Are the people who discuss politics different from the people who hate it? I see people on forums like this saying they hate posting, but they still do it. Why?

The link from Pew Research (below) is a jumping off point for discussion. The poll found, for example, that two thirds of people are exhausted from politics.

People are mostly exhausted because the media bores us to death with the same old same old IMHO

I don't know exactly why, but it's the stuff of message boards. Go to any message board like this and look at the numbers. The Politics sections will always be number one by far. People love entertainment-Hollywood stories, but even those aren't discussed the way politics is discussed.

There are many people who have not paid attention to politics. The reason why things are screwed up so much today. To help the have nots become haves you got my vote. To help people not to be messed with to survive you got my vote. To force extremism ways of living in your face that affects the survival of the majority you do not have my vote.

Why do people keep discussing politics at the top levels of government?

Politics, like religion, is its own ideology on how society should live their lives. People often talk about the evils of organized religion but never mention the evils of organized government which has done far worse and often controls organized religion. Organized government will tell you what is good and what is bad for people to say and do or not say and not do. So, this effects everyone including yourself, whether you like it or not.

And what other institution other than human government is responsible for so much misery in the world? What other institution is responsible for mass oppression, slavery, war, and genocide on levels so high that only an organized government would orchestrate it?

As a result, I think people feel like they need to speak their minds as forcefully as they can to try and preserve their own freedoms and sanity or get trampled over like so many people in the past have by organized government.

We have to discuss politics because Trump is HITLER!

SMALL GOVERNMENT PRO 2A HITLER!

ALSO MUSK IS HITLER!

I think that's an excellent point about gov versus religion. There is no consequence for not following organized religion. But run afoul of government and--well--don't pay your property taxes and see how fast the real owner shows up.

"Representative Democracy" Is a Contradiction in Terms

They imagine they are players, but the elitist Constitution made politics a spectators' sport. It was written by politicians for politicians.

Americans' hatred of politicians shows that what we really want, but are intimidated from bringing to consciousness, is to replace this representative form of government by giving us a veto power over individual policies.

Hereditary power and democracy can never co-exist, so all foreign democracies were frauds. They were all destroyed by patricians, not by the common people, whom preppy-lovers blame.

Business Profit Is Also a Tax

Your "take home" from the nepos and the POSs is the difference between what you produce for the parasites and what they let you keep. So we who actually do the work, instead of those who swish their suitcoats and flap their ties, should have power over how much in profits we should allow them to take.
