‘Feeling of dread’ spreads across federal workforce as second Trump term looms
Exactly....Reagan was my favorite boss in 25 years but had to endure Clinton too.My father was career US Navy, he despised Bill Clinton but always recognized he was CiC.
Well, he retired from the military......so there's that. Secondly, I don't think trump wants to engage in a futile act that will blow up in his face. Then again, he nominated Gaetz. The first thing Trump should do is court martial Milley.
You should read the book, "Sleepwalking Through History" by the great writer Haynes Johnson. Reagan was a stooge.Exactly....Reagan was my favorite boss in 25 years

trump has learned the hard way courts of law, where facts.....not bluster.....matter, are not his friend. I welcome the possibility of trying Milley, Smith, Schiff, Pelosi, or anyone he's threatened. He'll lose every case.He can be recalled to active duty and tried.

During the opening days of Donald Trump’s first term as president, a source summoned me to a quiet cafe. There, he slipped me a copy of a draft Trump executive order that would ban people from several Muslim-majority countries from entering the U.S. “It’s crazy,” he said. “It doesn’t make sense.”Let’s do it.

We all knew Trump had pledged to bar Muslims from U.S. shores. But the draft order was full of legal holes. I remember thinking it would never become a reality because, surely, the lawyers would stop it. But within days, the ban took effect, spawning chaos at airports, lawsuits and confusion among many U.S. officials who, although tasked with enforcing it, knew nothing about it.

What happens to DoJ employees who oppose illegal policies?
Since he is retired, wouldn't he have to be recalled to active duty to be subjected to a court martial? You cannot court martial him either. Who will sit on the court, as he was the senior officer in the military at the time? Who is the convening authority? He is still senior to all officers currently serving. As such, he was and remains court martial proof. You could hurt him far worse by writing him a letter of reprimand, rolling it up, and sticking him in the eye.
Umm, yeah. As has been said several times.Since he is retired, wouldn't he have to be recalled to active duty to be subjected to a court martial?
Only a President can do that, and Trump will not do so if he is smart. There are so many landmines strewn on that battlefield that the you might just blow yourself up!Since he is retired, wouldn't he have to be recalled to active duty to be subjected to a court martial?
First, there never was a Muslim ban, so why are you posting an outright lie?During the opening days of Donald Trump’s first term as president, a source summoned me to a quiet cafe. Trumpy needs an incident that can justify the implementation of martial law.The first thing Trump should do is court martial Milley. Then he can fire any flag officer involved in woke nonsense for a lack of confidence in their leadership. After that, he can fire any flag officer unwilling to follow lawful orders to secure the nation's borders.
