Apparently they weren’t as sick as reported.Aged poorly.
The Irish just took a shot of whisky (or three) and went out and whipped Penn State.

Meh, if Notre Dame was not in it I'd not even pay any attention to the college football championship.....And that is mainly due to the tradition involved.10. Minnesota — 6
9. Oklahoma — 7
T8. Ohio State — 8
T8. Harvard — 8
T6. Southern California — 9
T6. Michigan — 10
4. Notre Dame — 13
3. Princeton — 15
2. Alabama — 16
1. Yale — 18
As a Michigan fan I can't root for Ohio or Notre Damn. Go Texas Longhorns!

They don't make timeless movies about any other school except maybe Army or Navy
Well deserved, an American Institution.Tradition like having their own TV contract with a network (NBC).
The Fighting Iri$h
As Keith Jackson once said…Well deserved, an American Institution.
Sour grapes much?As Keith Jackson once said…
“Only in America can you turn provincialism and parochialism into marketing tools.”
I don’t really care much at all. Just watching and reporting. In fact, I was leaning toward Notre Dame last night.Sour grapes much?
Why?The Penn State coach may be on the hot seat.
1-15 record against top 5 teams.Why?
They needed considerable success to be in position to play some of those top 5 teams.1-15 record against top 5 teams.
Lost the past 11 games they were the underdog
Theyre always on the doorstep, but can’t win big games
Yeah but there comes a point where you need a coach who can lead a team beyondThey needed considerable success to be in position to play some of those top 5 teams.
Also consider the circumstance that Sandusky, et al, created that had to be overcome.
I guess this means that Wilt Chamberlain and Guy Lewis and Marv Levy and Jim Kelly, etc., were failures.Yeah but there comes a point where you need a coach who can lead a team beyond
It’s Marvin Lewis Syndrome (bengals)
No need to go to black and white land. Hyperbolic much?I guess this means that Wilt Chamberlain and Guy Lewis and Marv Levy and Jim Kelly, etc., were failures.
I just cited multiple examples. How are they different from this one?No need to go to black and white land. Hyperbolic much?
People can be very very good, but not great. As it stands, Franklin is not a great coach based on his inability to win so many big games over such a long time.
