I've been a fan of Notre Dame football for a very long time, and, like many feel the NCAA made a mistake in excluding the Irish from the college playoffs, however.... this nonsense of turning down an invitation for a bowl game appearance in protest makes ND look like a spoiled child taking his toys and running home when he doesn't get his way.

ND hasn't won a national championship since the late 1980's and has only been a serious contender for the BCS National Championship a few times since then. Perhaps it's time for Notre Dame to stop sulking, admit that its football program (while still very good) is no longer among the elite - and deserves to be treated as such. Thoughts?

Not a fan of them. Too much hype. Always, too much hype.
They are the Dallas Cowboys of college football.
Whole lotta smoke, but very little fire.

It's a bad look for Notre Dame, but I and many agree that BYU and Notre Dame should have been in over James Madison and Tulane. Conference Championships get too much consideration imo.
