yes, I'm sure your rosie reimagining is fine... I kind of remember the 1970's as kind of dismal time to grow up. I envy these kids today.
You envy kids who sit in front of their smart phone or television getting fat. Man. I had a great childhood filled with good memories. Too bad yours wasn't the same. No wonder you are such a bitter adult.
Again, I keep having this image of you working at a Rape Crisis Center and saying, "That's what you get for dressing like a slut!!!" Sorry, working people demanding a living wage to raise a family was not Greed. Greed is a CEO who runs his company badly and still insists on his golden parachute of eight figures. that's what Greed looks like.
If the wealth were divided equitably, every family could be upper middle class. As Herbert Hoover said, the problem with Capitalism is Capitalists, they are too damned greedy.
So who would go to school for two years, four years or more if they were only going to make as much as the floor sweeper? You think CEO's are like you see in the movies. A CEO is often on the road, moving to different states all the time, undergo psychiatric care due to the pressure, have to climb their way up.
Just like musicians, actors, professional sports, CEO's are contract employees, meaning based on their performance, they work for the highest bidder. When you have such a rare talent, every producer wants that talent and is willing to pay for it. If you don't want to pay them, your competitor will while you run your company like a socialist. Then when that CEO that works for the other company takes all your business, you have to close down and none of your employees have a job any longer.
Which has nothing to do with imaginary "Gun Free Zones". The guy pretty much checked into his hotel with his full arsenal. He picked a concert where he could kill a maximum number of people.
He was in a hotel room where nobody could stop him. Same thing. But the point that flew over your head is that just because he was a maniac, it doesn't mean he was stupid or uneducated. He knew exactly what he was doing, planned it out perfectly, and killed the most people in a mass shooting ever.
No, I was absolutely terrified.... Holy cow, the only thing missing were the fucking Zombies. And a couple of people I saw almost qualified.
On the other hand, Downtown Chicago is a showcase of shops, theaters, museums, hotels... There are some shitty parts of the city, but our downtown is rather nice. Or it least, it was until Trump Plague and Trump Riots happened.
Trump riots? You mean the Trump riots that took place because a career criminal died at the hands of a police officer in a Democrat city, that got other Democrats in other Democrat cities to riot, and the Democrat leadership did nothing to stop them? Do you realize how stupid that sounds????? Probably not.
Naw, Your state is kind of an embarrassment, what happens when you let the GOP and One Percenters fuck the working class.
Our state is fine. In fact our population grows every year. True, our downtown is not much to brag about, however the white suburbs are great places to live. In fact Patricia Heaton, best known for her role on Everybody Loves Raymond has a house in Bay Village where she grew up. Same with Drew Carey. The late Tim Conway who was also from this area spent a lot of time at his mothers home in Chagrin Falls. He still loved it here.
But Joe nobody knows everything about a city because he spent a week in downtown. Well WTF did you expect in a city that's been run by Democrats for 30 years?
