I have often wondered who the target audience of Sesame Street was.

I have no clue, I honestly never saw the show except for maybe passing snippets of "Big Bird." It all looked pretty stupid to me. Frankly, I sort of skipped over the entire preschool thing, at best I might barely have some faint recollection of Captain Kangaroo and some sort of moose puppet.

Captain Kagaroo was a'ait. He didn't pretend that he was doing anything more than making a kiddie show that would entertain the little darlin's while mom did the housework or mixed the mimosas.

What a load of shit. When I was a kid, we watched Popeye, Tom and Jerry as well as the 3 Stooges.

Very educational stuff for preschoolers, learning of the benefits of canned spinach, how cats and mice interact, as well as how to block an eye poke.

Mr. Rogers never taught kids words like imbecile.

Violence is part of life, any kid can see that mice and cats can't get along and sometimes it becomes extreme.

The Stooges show kids how to defend themselves, what's wrong with that? They also show kids many different career paths. The fellows were tailors, beauticians, doctors , dentists, fish salesmen , census takers, tree surgeons, etc. Gave children a good view of different paths they might want to take in their careers. Tremendous programming for children. My mum knew that Moe Larry and Shemp would teach us right on TV.

That's what is supposed to happen when your resources are limited.

Maybe "the children" are not as important as the steady parade of leftist programing they favor.

Unhinged Trump has a hard on for PBS because they gave him negative news coverage. So, to get even him & his ass washer's like Johnson took away their federal funding.
