Why don't Republicans call his bluff?

What makes you think they won't? Do you think he can pull off another Cornhusker Kickback to buy the votes of his own party when the Republicans control the House?

By this point, in spite of Harry Reid bending over like he did after Cordray's appointment, even the Democrats in Congress have to be worried about Obama's power grabs.



But that's still not a good reason for Republicans to seem to give in to what Obama wants and hope Democrats will call it off before the legislation passes. That would be irresponsible.
