I saw this movie when it came out, remembered the concept of the story and that is about it, besides the scenes of Jennifer Lawrence. Those were not so forgettable.
We watched it again last night.
The movie is what happens when you have a weak story, maybe a movie that shouldn't have been made, but someone says "what if we put in two (then) top actors and dazzle the audience with cool looking special effects??"
And that is what the movie is. For the gals - they see Chris Pratt, for the guys they get to watch cut scenes of Lawrence's goddess like body... in really cool sci fi visuals.
Pratt is a decent comedy actor, in this movie the comedy doesn't really belong. But they put it in there because Pratt just can't pull off serious acting. So all the serious scenes are all done by Lawrence, who can.
It is entertaining, not a "bad" movie, but not a very good one either. In another 10 years, I will probably still remember the scenes of Jennifer's body.
