Actually no. Too many parties is no good either. In the 70 or so years I've been following politics I can say power corrupts absolutely. Neither party can hold power more than two or three cycles. Look at CA. Will that switch back to the GOP or keep sinking? Luckily the US is bigger and more diverse so one party can't consolidate power.
