This thread is perfect for an undecided voter to read to help them make a decision about who to vote for.

We have two situations:

Situation A: The people of Alaska "share the wealth" of that State's natural resources equally and consider the State's natural resources the people's, not the government's.

Situation B: A tax filer making over a certain income (as determined by the Federal government) has their taxes increased so a check can be sent to a tax filer who pays zero Federal Tax thus "spreading the wealth".

McCain supporters agree with "A" and oppose "B".

Obama supporters agree with "B" and don't see the difference between "A" and "B".

B. The State of Alaska taxed the oil companies and gave to Alaskans who pay no taxes.

i'm pretty sure sarah palin didn't write the alaska state constitution.
obeying the law is something i find refreshing in a politician.

i'll be honest, i have absolutely no problem with what she did in the case of that trooper; i'd have probably done the same thing.

it'd be wrong, of course, but if somebody threatened to shoot a family member of mine, i'd be prone to overreacting i think.

A judge ordered her three times to stop hounding her brother in law. You can act how you wish as a private citizen, but not as governor. Sarah seems to have a problem with being told "no". It doesn't resonate for her as McCain's people have found out, too.

actually he told her to stop "disparaging" him. i guess you can try to make the case that trying to get him fired is disparagement, but i think the judge was more concerned with the kid's mom and her relatives going on and on with what a scumbag the guy is in front of the kid.

which he is, but i agree with the judge that it's not right to go on about it in front of the kid.
