Almost by accident, I ran across a new, Firefox-based, faster, more stable browser named Pale Moon. It's optimized for more speed and less memory usage, and it looks exactly like Firefox. It also uses the same add-ons and extensions as Firefox (it will automatically port your configuration, including add-ons, bookmarks, history, configuration, etc. when you install it. They have a 64-bit version, too, and that's what I downloaded. Pages display faster and smoother, and everything seems more stable. It's also compatible with the very handy Download Status Bar add-on (my favorite) -- which the latest version of Firefox is not. I've made it my default browser.

Here is the link to the Pale Moon website. Try it out if you're a Firefox user. The whole process takes about 4 minutes.

Cheers!

Just sayin...I would think Pale Moon would be just as memory hogging as FF once you put the addons/toolbars etc.
