Gets the ghetto makeover......we need diversity and equity and and,,,why cant govt just leave people alone.
Earlier this year, The Center Square broke news that California state law and a local Los Angeles ordinance require fire-destroyed rent-protected housing — which includes all apartments in the city built before October 1978 — be replaced with low-income housing. Because the affordability requirements use county-level income data, not more local incomes, definitions for “low” and “very low” income housing reflect much lower incomes than the norm for the affluent Palisades community.

California has been attracting a lot more minority folks in recent years, so it does make sense to build Hi-Rise projects in Pacific Palisades, modeled on the Pruitt-Igoe towers in St. Louis or the Carter in New York City.

the result will be an exodus of wealth from that area and perhaps the state

Palisades is where all the actors lived. James Woods lives there now.
It's where uh.."Once Upon a Time in America" was filmed.
Take a left off PCH and start cutting up the hills.
A lot of custom homes up in there, some are gone forever. :(

If the people of Pacific Palisades were against affordable housing, we'll just burn the whole thing down and do it our way -- CA government in action

The Progressive Plan. Make everything a shithole.

My route is on the west side of the cities. Most every day I get to cruise down a chain of lakes on west side of town. Been back in most of the rich enclaves..would seem a shame to ghettoize em

In California, $101 million will build what? 2 apartment buildings of 16 apartments each?

The progressives' agendas are to build low-income housing in suburban areas or areas that look like them. Imagine Maliu with all low-income housing.

The fire neatly dovetailed with Newsom's SmartLA-2028.
Bot a single nail has been driven in reconstruction since the fire...
