Feathers, who is paid $115,000 on the state board, in a letter to Corbett obtained by the Trib, said he wants an independent forensics expert to review the emails.


“This independent assessment will allow me to determine the accuracy of her assessment,” he wrote.


“It is important to note that my skepticism with Attorney General Kane's accusations are based upon her separate previous attacks upon my integrity based on my former employment with the Pennsylvania AG office. These politically motivated attacks were based on my role as supervisor in the (Jerry) Sandusky investigation and had no merit.”


Feathers sent a terse letter to Kane noting that he wants an independent review.


Kane, a Democrat, has repeatedly said politics played no role in her position on the Sandusky case. She ran for the office as a “prosecutor, not a politician.”


Corbett, a Republican, is facing Democrat Tom Wolf in the Nov. 4 general election for governor.


Feathers said he would “consider” resigning if it's proven he did not “uphold my professional responsibilities.”


Feathers on Friday could not be reached for comment.

So, the guy is going all tough-guy on the AG, who has now released his emails after he openly challenged her to do so.

This is not going to end well for Mr. Feathers.
