There were no non-Christians in Palestine after 380 AD. All Palestinians were Christians until the Muslim conquest of Palestine in 636 AD. Palestinian Christians were still the majority, ruled by Arabian Muslims, when the Crusaders conquered Palestine in 1099 AD the people were still overwhelmingly Christian. The Palestinian Muslims and Christians called themselves Palestinians throughout Ottoman rule and made it clear that they were the people of Palestine when they first tried to convince the British to stop colonizing Palestine with European Zionists.

LONDON:
"Whilst the position in Palestine is, as it stands to-day, with the British Government holding authority by an occupying force, and using that authority to impose upon the people against their wishes a great immigration of alien Jews, many of them of a Bolshevik revolutionary type, no constitution which would fall short of giving
the People of Palestine full control of their own affairs could be acceptable...."
