I got good instruction off ytube and have done basic boxing before.

I have a bad back

After a few weeks of a little training. Wow !!
This punch has insane power

It’s like a regular cross but RAISE your right elbow up more and step your left foot out .

Wow . The power was nothing I have ever experienced before

The overhand right is the most classic punch. Its the punch that every boy learns naturally because, its basically the same movement as throwing a rock. It generates a lot of power, but it isnt as easy to land as people think, and you can quickly tire out if you miss too many times in a row.

Everyone usually sees it coming because people dont usually set it up correctly. When you have your fist cocked and ready to throw, everyone can see it and every sudden movement from you causes a sudden movement by your opponent because he knows whats coming, so they are hard to land.

Its best to set up the overhand right with a left jab. You dont even need any power in your jab, you just need it to fluster your opponent and distract him. Throwing a slow jab will cause your opponent to waste his dodging movement on the weak jab and it also gives him a false sense of your speed and power. You will see a number of professional fighters using this technique. They lull you with several weak slow jabs and then throw a fast overhand out of nowhere,

Here is a video that demostrates what im talking about. You just sort of slowly "paw" at your opponent with the jab and then throw a crushing overhand right.

U just described Rocky Marciano & his Suzie Q overhand right. Rocky had a LOT of forward momentum as he constantly pressed if not outright charged his opponents with that crowding pushing bob & weave style of his. Below image; left foot planted firmly & well FORWARDS & pushing off forwards on the ball of his right foot, waist twisted to his left. Rocky has ALL 198# of his body weight plus FORWARD INERTIA behind his right hand;

Below; again left foot forwards leaning in to Joe with another of those long rights, pushing off on the ball of the right foot with full body weight behind that right hand again.

Sorry to hear about your back, L-4 disc?
