That actually isn't too bad. When Trump got in office, I estimated that to be successful in cancelling the harm Biden and the democrats have done, that by now based on a daily average, we should have deported about 2.5 million, so, being that Trump has gotten to 2.2 million with 1.6 mil of them being a direct result of his deportation, that is pretty frigging good.

It is kind of a shock to have someone in office who not only tries to actually keep his campaign promises, but comes pretty close to succeeding.

Two million illegal immigrants have left the country since President Donald Trump took office, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

The figure includes about 1.6 million illegal immigrants who voluntarily self-deported and more than 400,000 who were deported, according to a news release.
The Department of Homeland Security is on track to total 600,000 deportations during Trump’s first year back in office, the release said.
“The numbers don’t lie: 2 million illegal aliens have been removed or self-deported in just 250 days — proving that President Trump’s policies and Secretary Noem’s leadership are working and making American communities safe,” Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said.

With the influx of nearly 20 million illegal aliens into America allowed by Joe Biden and his 'motley crew' of Democrat Socialists of America, the reduction of 2 million illegals is a drop in the bucket. But, it is a start.
Big news.....Director Homan recently announced that the number of federal agents will soon be tripled, accelerating arrests and deportation next fiscal year.
If that means a tripling of deportations, I'm all for it.
I know, I know, how will DSA Commies get their lawns manicured and food served?
It seems that the DHS, E-Verify program must be enforced and those employers violating the program sent to jail, not fined...
That will increase the number of illegals voluntarily leaving the U.S. for their homes or elsewhere.

Analysis of the raw data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ (BLS) household survey, officially called the Current Population Survey (CPS), shows an unprecedented 2.2 million decline in the total foreign-born or immigrant population (legal and illegal) between January and July of this year. We preliminarily estimate that the number of illegal immigrants has fallen by 1.6 million in just the last six months. This is likely due to increased out-migration in response to stepped-up enforcement. However, analysis based on the CPS comes with caveats.

Findings:

Analysis of the CPS data shows the total foreign-born population of all ages, both in and out of the labor force, declined an unprecedented 2.2 million from January to July – the largest six-month decline ever within the same year.

Non-citizens accounted for all of the falloff in the total foreign-born; the naturalized U.S. citizen population has actually increased some since January.
We preliminarily estimate that the illegal immigrant population declined an astonishing 1.6 million (10 percent) to 14.2 million from January to July of this year."
