That's funny. She took on questions from moderators in 3 debates with Governor Tony Knowles and Governor Frank Mulkowski (Lisa Mulkowski' dad). She answered them so good she became Governor.

Well, I am not from Alaska so I did not see those debates. It is her performance as a vice-presidential candidate that I am talking about. She did two interviews that I recall. One with Charlie Gibson and one with Katie Couric. She was absolutely terrible.

I have no reason to think she would do better as a presidential candidate. And the pressure would be twice as intense for her to shine not only in interviews, but also the televised debates.

She did more interviews than that Rin. Some weren't that bad. (and I am not a big Palin supporter). I would hate to watch me interviewed. I would embarrass the crap out of myself.
We're all human, and subject to human err. Well, at least I am. Won't speak for others I suppose.

Why is USAR dodging my questions to him about race? His status on that issue is simply not what we want in the GOP or Democratic Party. The fact that USAR is speaking for Palin is fact enough for no one to want anything to do with Palin.

Now when it comes to Palin, she has been to every state many times as she traveled the country politicking and selling her book. She knows that Mexico is a problem and if you watched her Alaska special last night during the first 10 minutes she spoke of a liberal operative writing a hit piece on her that rented a house next to hers. She said that she did what America wouldn't do and that was get her husband Todd to erect a high fence between their yards so he couldn't intrude into their space. In other words she knows we need a border fence and she has said she would militarize our borders too. Also Palin dealt with trade issues with other countries as governor and on port issues with Alaska that would benefit the state and nation. Palin has already given speeches on trade to China and Japan and the gave a rousing one of Monetary Policy Reform in Arizona last week and pundits are saying it was one of the most exhilarating speeches from her and her knowledge on the subject was impressive. She hammered the Feds plans to buy up anywhere from $600 billion to as much as $1 trillion of government securities and that is getting her sharp notice as a contender. When it comes to our enemies she has already acknowledged them as in Iran, North Korea and ones who want to harbor terrorists. She wants us to wean ourselves off foriegn oil and open up on a massive scale here in the states independent domestic drilling on land and off shore and in ANWAR. That will pump the economy big time. I tell you one thing and that Barack Obama didn't know any of that stuff you asked when he ran. A community organizer just doesn't know about conservation, oil and gas, trade and the military like she did since she was was Commander of the Alaska National Guard which in Alaska is the first line of defense in our missile interceptor defense system that protects the entire nation from ballistic missile attacks. The 49th Missile Defense Battalion she commanded was and is on permanent active duty, unlike other Guard units in the United States. Also, Governor Palin was the commander in chief of the Alaska State Defense Force (ASDF), a federally recognized militia incorporated into Homeland Security's counterterrorism plans. As Governor, Palin was briefed on highly classified military issues, homeland security, and counterterrorism daily.
