America’s enemies are under no illusion that attaining Net Zero will ensure military dominance and success on the battlefield. They understand Sun Tzu’s admonition, “Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt.” To openly commit to a decades long doctrine that bases a nation’s war fighting capabilities and ultimate survival on untested technologies, affords opponents enormous advantages https://www.realcleardefense.com/ar...am_must_be_immediately_suspended_1050821.html
Probably big part of our equipment and ammo probs and repair probs

The Taliban showed off U.S. weapons - a sea of armored vehicles that the Americans abandoned as they fled the country

Zelensky is coming to DC to try to convince us that asking for more money and weapons is a new plan.

Yes our military has been taken over by the bad guys. One sign of that was the Pentagon mandating the anthrax shots for all service members even though all the facts showed the shots to be dangerous and designed only for some fantasy. Another sign was the same behavior with the clot shots 3 years ago. Who controls our military, CCP or IDF?

They were not "abandoned", that was equipment that had been turned over to Afghanistan.

I mean come on now, those are M113 Armored Personnel Carriers. First fielded in 1960, they are still commonly used in nations all over the world. But the US phased those out way back in the early 1990s, replacing them primarily with the M2 Bradley. The only ones I have seen in service in the last two decades were very specialized engineer variants, generally as "armored tow trucks". The US frequently gives those to other nations because we still have thousands of them in storage.

Just the fact you think the US "abandoned" those is absolutely precious. The US has not used those in three decades, and those belonged to Afghanistan.

Abandoned by order of current POTUS, who is the opposite of a military genius, and has a history of traitorous political activity.

Not true. We gave/sold them over 200 of them under the Bush and Obama Administrations. That has been their equipment for well over a decade.

In other words, we can't "abandon" that which is not ours. By 2016 the last of the combat units left Afghanistan, leaving only some advisors and support personnel.

I wasn't referring to just the M-113s.
A wide range of valuable weapons and gear left and not all of it rendered sufficiently "inoperable".

Biden admin left $7 billion in military equipment in Afghanistan ...

Here's all the US military equipment that likely ended up in Taliban han

Injury to insult were the thousands of Afghans that worked with the USA left behind to the fate the Taliban would dish out to them.

Once again, the military pulled out other than advisors by 2016. What was left behind was no longer "US Equipment", it was Afghan Equipment.

Here, this is from your very own source:

The US gave a total of $18.6 billion of equipment to the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) from 2005 to August 2021, according to the report. Of that total, equipment worth $7.12 billion remained in Afghanistan after the US withdrawal was completed on August 30, 2021. It included aircraft, air-to-ground munitions, military vehicles, weapons, communications equipment and other materials, according to the DoD report.

It is not "US Equipment" if the US does not own it anymore. And had not owned it for years.
